Bayern Munich won their fourth preseason friendly under Pep Guardiola.

Bayern Munich continued their preseason on Tuesday with a 3-0 victory over Serie B side Brescia Calcio in Trentino. The match is the club's fourth friendly thus far this preseason, and it's their final action in Italy before departing back to Germany.

Pep put out a fairly regular lineup with the exception of Pierre Emile Hojbjerg playing in the holding roll of the 4-1-4-1 formation. The full lineup was Neuer; Lahm (Rafinha), Boateng (Schmitz), Van Buyten (Kirchhoff), Alaba (Contento); Hojbjerg (Can); Shaqiri (Green), Müller (Weiser), Kroos (Schöpf), Ribery (Weihrauch); Mandzukic (Pizarro).

The club had to take the field without Arjen Robben as the Dutch international trained with the fitness coach on the sideline since just joining camp in recent days. The club didn't really need him on the day and won 3-0. The goals were scored by Thomas Müller, Toni Kroos, and Jan Kirchhoff.

Bayern will now head back to Munich in order to prepare for a friendly against SG Sonnenhof Großaspach on Saturday.

Bastian Schweinsteiger is departing Trentino to continue his rehab, while Arjen Robben has just arrived after an extended break.

Bastian Schweinsteiger is leaving Bayern Munich's Trentino training camp early to return to Munich. However, there's no need to be concerned. Bastian's departure is purely a precautionary measure, and he's just heading home to continue his rehabilitation. In fact, team doctor Dr. Hans-Wilhelm Müller-Wohlfahrt and physiotherapist Gerry Hofmann will be traveling with the vice-captain.

Schweinsteiger had some minor surgery to remove a bone spur from his right heel at the conclusion of the season and has been rehabbing to get back on the field as soon as possible. The expectation is that Bastian will be ready to return to training once the club returns from Trentino.

In other good news, Arjen Robben has returned from his brief summer break after duties with the Netherlands national team. He'll finally get some chances to impress in front of Pep Guardiola in training. A lot of people were questioning how long Robben would remain a Bayern player with Guardiola in charge due to his "style" not pairing well with Guardiola's perceived "style", but he's staying at the club and will finally get the chance to prove his "worth" to Guardiola.

Bayern Munich are headed to Italy this week to continue their summer preparation for next season.

Bayern Munich will continue their summer training this week with at rip to Italy. Trentino is the destination, and it's not just the first team players that are making the trip. The reserve, U19, U17, U15 and U14 teams will also be making the trip to northern Italy over the next week.

Before we get into the news, be sure to check out Ribery's new contract extension, Dante and Luiz Gustavo beating Javi Martinez in the Confederations Cup, and a brief recap of Bayern's first match under Pep. Also, be sure to get up to date on the latest transfer news with the Bayern Bulletin.

Schedule in Trentino

Bayern will be in Italy from July 4-12. On the 5th, Bayern will compete in the Paulaner Cup where they'll compete against a group of amateurs from six different countries. Then, Bayern will face Pep Guardiola's old side Brescia on the 9th.

For a look at the rest of Bayern's preseason plans, the club has it listed here.

Farewell interview with Tymo

I imagine everyone loves Anatoliy Tymoshchuk like I do. They club conducted a farewell interview with Tymo here. A highlight?

What's your impression of new coach Pep Guardiola?

Very good. He's open and relaxed, his German is already very good and he explains everything in German. Certainly some of the things he does are new to us, but every coach has his own ideas and style. I think he's a very good coach who's taken charge of the best team.

Bayern beat TSV Regen 9-1 in second friendly

Seven thousand people showed up in Regen to see the triple winners romp to a 9-1 victory over local side TSV. The goalscorers for Bayern were Julian Green (3), Patrick Weihrauch (2), Thomas Müller, Emre Can, Alessandro Schöpf, and Toni Kroos.

Regen actually got on the board first thanks to a goal from Daniel Kopp. The biggest thing to take away from the two friendlies is the opportunities for the club's youth players to get minutes with several first team players in front of Pep.

Speaking of youth players...

It appears as though Julian Green has been promoted from the U19 team to the reserves for the upcoming season. He will either join up with the reserves in Trentino, or he may be one of the players Pep keeps around for a little more training with the first team.
