German National Team coach Joachim Löw revealed his final 23-man squad for the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup on Wednesday, a month before the competition will commence. Some key Bayern Munich players will not play in the Confederations Cup. Only Joshua Kimmich and two future Bayern Munich players Niklas Süle and Sebastian Rudy were called to play in the tournament. Jerome Boateng, Mats Hummels, Thomas Muller have been given a break.
Meanwhile Manuel Neuer has already been ruled out due to injury. Other players like Benedikt Höwedes, Mario Götze, and Julian Weigl were also been ruled out due to injury or illness.
Other key players like Mario Gomez, Sami Khedira, Toni Kroos, Mesut Ozil and Marco Reus are also been given a break.
Only three of the 2014 Word Cup Champion squad will be in Die Mannschaft’s Confederations Cup squad: Matthias Ginter, Shkodran Mustafi and Julian Draxler.
The 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup tournament will take place in Russia from 17 June – 2 July 2017.
