Gianluca Gaudino is headed away from Munich for good this time. The 20-year-old midfielder has spent the last 18 months on loan at Swiss first division side St. Gallen, but will reportedly transfer to Italian side Chievo Verona from Bayern Munich.

Italian outlet, Gianluca Di Marioz reports that Gaudino will join Verona this summr. Additional outlets reports that there is a small fee involved (€50,000), while Gaudino will sign a 4-year contract for a quarter-million euro salary.

Gaudino had spent the last 18 months on loan at St. Gallen, logging 2600 minutes across 36 appearances and given his ball control, range of passing, and tactical acumen he should excel in Serie A.

For Bayern Munich, no one can pretend that Gaudino was ready to solidify his place at Bayern Munich full time. He was too young and too raw. However, Gaudino was also talented enough to earn ten senior team appearances under Pep Guardiola at the age of 18. This is one of those moves that further underscores how little senior team talent the Bayern Munich academy has produced in the last seven years. It doesn’t hurt, but it definitely stings the pride.
