Sebastian Rode may be on his way out at Bayern Munich. Independent reports have stated that Sebastian Rode is a summer target for Borussia Mönchenglabach.
The Rheinische Post and BILD have independently stated that 'Gladbach see Rode as a successor to Granit Xhaka should he depart this summer. But after a previous summer where Rode was the subject of interest from teams like Vfl Wolfsburg and English Premier League sides, it's difficult to assess whether Gladbach have the financial muscle to pull off a transfer for the 25-year-old.
The former German youth international had a bright start to his Bayern Munich career, garnering 35 appearances in his first season under Pep Guardiola. However the arrival of Arturo Vidal pushed Sebastian Rode far down the pecking order limiting him to just 15 spot appearances this season. Unless there's a large shakeup with the arrival of Carlo Ancelotti, it's safe to assume Sebastian Rode is as good as gone. And 'Gladbach is a great destination for a 25-year-old who wants to push himself to stay with the best and brightest of Europe.
