Julian Green broke onto the scene two years ago with a massive Hinrunde for the Bayern Munich reserves. Since then he's stagnated on loan, stagnated with the reserve team, and now is likely headed to the waiting arms of AC Milan this summer.

Green is on the radar for a summer transfer to the former Italian giants AC Milan for an estimated transfer fee in the range of 1-2 million euros, reports CalcioMercato. However, Bayern Munich are loath to agree to any transfer before the arrival of Carlo Ancelotti over the summer and his assessment of the squad during preseason.

Whatever Ancelotti's decision though, Julian Green is far down the pecking order at Bayern Munich. The team has a plethora of winger options with Douglas Costa and Kingsley Coman (assuming they behave competently and exercise their absurdly low purchase option) and Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben looking to sign extensions covering the twilight of their careers. Julian Green hasn't shown any progress since his breakout, and moving on to a struggling AC Milan who could use any talent they can get their hands on is likely the best for both parties.

Julian Green has made 23 appearances for Bayern Munich II this season, scoring 10 goals and assisting on four others. He was the team's joint leading scorer along with Patrick Weihrauch before this weekend's win over Schalding-Heining.
