Arturo Vidal is a medical away from joining Bayern Munich, club CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge confirming an agreement in principle in a hotel press coherence in Guangzhou on Thursday morning.
"I can basically confirm we have agreed terms with both parties, Juventus and the player," said Rummenigge (fcbayern.de). "All that is missing is the medical and the signature on the contract."
The Guardian reported earlier this week the fee will be €37 million with €3 million in add ons. Several reports have pegged Vidal's contract to be a 4-year, €26 million, although Juventus president Giuseppe Moratta said Vidal's contract was until 2020.
Rummenigge went onto say if everything goes smoothly, Vidal "will start training with us next week." Bayern will be back in Germany by then, their final match against Guangzhou Evergrande scheduled for Thursday. The 28-year-old has yet to commence preseason training after winning the Copa America with Chile in early July.
