Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal has agreed to terms on a contract until 2020 with Bayern Munich, Juventus president Giuseppe Moratta confirmed on Monday.

The Guardian is reporting the Chilean midfielder will move from Juventus to Bayern on a €37 million fee, with €3 million in add-ons. The 28-year-old is due to travel to Munich for his medical with the intention of Bayern announcing the deal before the weekend. The Guardian believes he will sign a four-year contract at a rate of €6.5 million per year, consistent with reports from last week. Fernando Felicevich, Vidal's agent, has been in Munich finalizing the deal.

Should the transfer go through, Vidal could become tied with Javi Martínez as the most expensive transfer in Bayern history. He would also become the first Chilean football player to don the Bayern chest.

Following his participation in the Copa America, Vidal has yet to participate in any preseason activities for Juventus thus far. He played 525 minutes for Chile, which accounted for all but one half of football for the Copa America champions. If Bayern and Juventus finalize the deal this week, he will not participate in Bayern's Audi Tour of China and could potentially miss the Audi Cup later in July.

Former Bayern manager Jupp Heynckes, who managed Vidal at Bayer Leverkusen, had only kind words to say about Vidal. He also believes Vidal would "ensure balance in Bayern's midfield."

"He is an exceptional ball-robber, terribly malicious in direct duels, pace and tackle strong, he has a special fighting grade," Heynckes told kicker. "He can play really well too."
