Gianluca Gaudino is the hot commodity at Bayern Munich right now. Multiple outlets have independently reported that teams across the European continent are interested in the 19-year-old playmaker and given the faith Pep Guardiola placed in him to run his offense for a few months at the age of 18 it's not surprising.
Reports from Italy today have advanced this interest, with AC Milan in talks with Gaudino's agent, the great Maurizio Gaudino, about a move to the Rossoneri. Calciomercato reports that Gaudino is currently discussing a six-month loan deal along with a purchase option at the end. However, AC Milan will definitely have competition as multiple outlets have reported that VfB Stuttgart are pursuing Gaudino -- can anyone say payback for Bayern snatching away Joshua Kimmich last summer? -- along with Italian side Sassuolo and Swiss club St. Gallen
While it's a matter of contention as to whether Gianluca Gaudino should leave Bayern Munich, leaving on a loan to a club with an aged core and little in the way of a midfield like AC Milan would at least be a promising situation for the youngster. It preserves a future at Bayern Munich that's likely just a year away with Xabi Alonso's extension while simultaneously putting him in an environment where he should be able to earn first team minutes.
