While a club can never have too much striker depth, Bayern Munich have at least one suitor should they want to move Mario Mandžukić in the summer.
FIFA agent François Gallardo revealed Saturday that the Croatian striker is a focus of Real Madrid come next summer.
"The top player that Real have on their list for next season, independent of what happens in December, is a Bayern player," Gallardo said to Punto Pelota. "It is Mandžukić."
Real Madrid have appeared thin up top after Gonzalo Higuain made a €37 move to Napoli. Gallardo is under the impression that Los Blancos are interested in acquiring another striker, and Álvaro Morata and Jesé are not the answers right now.
Gallardo affirmed that a bid could be between €35 and €40 million.
This comes on the heels of news that Robert Lewandowski could sign a contract for next season as soon as January 2nd. Mandžukić said in response to the rumors that he could finish his career at FC Bayern.
Considering that Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has already stated his intention to keep both Mandžukić and Lewandowski, a transfer would only happen if FC Bayern were overwhelmed with an offer.
Still, for Mandžukić, it is nice to be wanted.
