Bayern Munich goalkeeper Daniel Peretz will be out six weeks per Sky journalist Kerry Hau:

The exact diagnosis for Daniel Peretz: tear of the inner ligament in his right knee. At FC Bayern it is assumed that the goalkeeper will have a 6-week break. @SkySportDE

The injury gods are off to a rousing start for the Rückrunde with Bayern Munich.

Before the team had even played a friendly, Bayern Munich goalkeeper Daniel Peretz was felled by a knee injury. The club released a statement via its X (Twitter) account saying that Peretz had suffered a ligament injury:

Before anyone loses their minds, however, it is not an ACL injury per the release from FCBayern.com:

FC Bayern will be without goalkeeper Daniel Peretz for the coming weeks. The 23-year-old suffered an injury to the intraarticular ligament of his right knee in training, as diagnosed by Bayern’s medical department following an examination.

X (Twitter account) @iMiaSanMia described the injury and an MCL ailment:

Peretz also hit Instagram to post a story thanking people for the messages of support after the news on the injury was released:

Given the Peretz news, Manuel Neuer and Sven Ulreich will carry the goalkeeping load for Bayern Munich for the foreseeable future — as expected. There was some thought that Peretz could get loaned out during this window, but this injury likely kills those ideas.

In other injury news, Konrad Laimer is still experiencing some issues with his knee and missed the friendly vs. FC Basel:
