According to a report from Football Insider (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich is set to propose a transfer fee of €5 million to Tottenham Hotspur for Eric Dier. The player and Bayern Munich have also — allegedly — agreed on personal terms.

Interestingly, one of the key players in pushing the deal over the line is former Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane, a friend of Dier’s, who is now Bayern Munich’s top scorer:

Harry Kane has also pushed strongly for Dier to join him in Germany, with the two very good friends from their lengthy time together at Tottenham. Kane has spoken extensively to his fellow Englishman about life in Bavaria and has highly recommended him to Tuchel and Bayern chiefs) as they look to complete the signing of Eric Dier this month. Dier is expected to provide depth at center-back, right-back, and as a defensive midfielder. For a relatively low fee, Dier could give Tuchel the assurance he is looking for when he needs to bring in a substitute off of the bench.
