VfB Stuttgart’s Serhou Guirassy won’t be heading to Bayern Munich or anywhere else...for now

This should help Stuttgart.

In recent days, reports began to circulate that VfB Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy could be on the move this month.

If not now, though, the 27-year-old was also rumored to be a strong candidate to leave during the summer transfer window — with Bayern Munich being one of the clubs allegedly in the mix.

According to Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg, Guirassy is not going anywhere at the moment. Given his AFCON commitments, however, Guirassy is reportedly leaning toward staying with VfB Stuttgart.

In addition, Guirassy might consider himself to have unfinished business with Die Schwaben:

❗️Serhou #Guirassy, the tendency at the moment is that he will stay in Stuttgart in January. The VfB bosses also assume this. Therefore, no active move for Kalajdzic anymore.

➡️ Main reason: AFCON (Uncertain timing for his return) and his goals and identification with @VfB. @SkySportDE

The links to Bayern Munich is still puzzling. Unable to play a position with other striker effectively (barring some sort of change), Guirassy would have had to upend Harry Kane to get more playing time in Bavaria.
