According to a report from Sport Bld journalists Christian Falk and Tobi Altschäffl (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich is plotting a pursuit of VfB Stuttgart attacker Serhou Guirassy.

On the surface, this seems like a very odd rumor given that Bayern Munich has Harry Kane on its books through 2027 and Mathys Tel also on the roster. Sure, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting could leave the club as soon as this month given that is contract expires in July, but adding a soon-to-be a high-priced, 28-year striker into the mix during the summer just seems...odd:

Bayern are interested in a summer move for Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy. If Guirassy does not leave Stuttgart this month and stays for the rest of the season, Bayern could activate his €20m release clause in the summer. Should a deal for Guirassy go though, Mathys Tel could then be loaned out, with several clubs showing interest.

Of his 206 appearances, Guirassy has played striker in 192 of them, with 14 coming as a left-wing. The VfB Stuttgart man’s versatility — and potential price tag — would seem to each be a hindrance toward Bayern Munich’s potential interest.
