Newly-minted Bayern Munich defender Eric Dier is settling into his new digs and has loved what he has seen so far at the club.
“When you join such a big club, there’s always big competition for places. I’m excited about playing with the whole team. We’ve got some great attackers. I’m also looking forward to facing them in training,” Dier said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Dier knows that the perception of where his game is at the moment has taken a hit because of the lack of playing time he experienced under Tottenham Hotspur coach Ange Postecoglou. The defender said that he has kept himself fit despite the lack of game involvement.
“That was the decision of the club and the manager, which I accepted. I always put a lot of effort into being fit, I have done that in the last few months and I feel good.”
Aside of the weather, though, Dier’s move has been all aces.
“It’s cold. It’s been great since I’ve got here. I’ve felt the size and the family feeling of the club straightaway. It wasn’t surprising, but it feels good,” Dier remarked.
