For weeks, Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich has seen his name bandied about in the transfer rumor mill.

Manchester City? Manchester United? Liverpool FC? FC Barcelona? Real Madrid? Paris Saint-Germain?

Kimmich has certainly been linked to some heavy hitters.

Given the buzz that has been generated, the Germany international took to the media to say that a transfer this month was not on the table and that he expect to sit down with Bayern Munich to discuss his some point.

“I’m actually just focused on Bayern. For me, that [a move] wasn’t a topic at all in winter. I think at some point the club will approach me and we’ll sit together. Everything that will be discussed, we’ll discuss with each other - and not with you [the media],” Kimmich told Sky Sport (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).

Diffusing the situation a bit was a smart play for Kimmich. He will not talk about the rumors and club absolutely will not either. Now, it is just a waiting game for everyone else to see if the 28-year-old is planning to stay with Bayern Munich — or if he wants to test the waters abroad.
