While Bayern Munich is doing somewhat well, the German national football team is experiencing the complete opposite. Their last games were against Turkey and Austria and they lost both, with Bayern man Leroy Sané given early marching orders in the latter. It was now determined that he will sit out three games and fined nearly €3000:

Leroy Sané has been handed a 3-match ban by FIFA following his red card against Austria. He will therefore miss the games against France and the Netherlands in March as well as the first of two test games planned just before the Euros. Sané has also been fined around 2700 euros.

The DFB is also planning to appeal against the red card to knock a game or two off the ban or even rescind the red card altogether. The 27-year-old is in a bit of a slump which is not ideal, as both Bayern and Germany need him to fire on all cylinders.
