Jamal Musiala was perhaps the only Bayern Munich attacker who put forward a great performance against Hoffenheim. The display from Bayern was unimpressive overall despite the 3-0 scoreline, but Musiala made sure Bayern walked away with a victory.

Bayern head coach Thomas Tuchel had this to say about Musiala after the match: “Jamal was absolutely our best player today. He was the only one who had the freedom and the desire to create something. Leroy didn’t have his best day today and wasn’t decisive in the game. Harry wasn’t having his best day either. We almost gave the game away in the middle of the second half. We can do much better.” (@ransport via @iMiaSanMia)

Notably, Tuchel didn’t single out Thomas Müller as an attacker who was having an off day, which spells good news for the Müller-Musiala partnership and the fans who have been endorsing it.

Hopefully, the rest of the attackers will hit better form in matches to come, as Bayern will need to be at full strength to tackle the challenges of the Rückrunde. Regardless, the future of Bayern’s forward line is in good hands with the performances of Musiala.
