After Hoffenheim win, Thomas Tuchel says Eric Dier can help Bayern Munich play a back three

Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel stopped reveling in his team’s 3-0 victory over Hoffenheim just long enough to drop some thoughts on new defender Eric Dier.

“He will train with us tomorrow. He’s in top shape. He didn’t play much in the past six months, but before that he always played with all other coaches. He will be a valuable addition for us in central defense. He can also help us switch to a back three system. He also frees up Leon Goretzka for the midfield,” Tuchel said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).

A back three system you say?

For Dier’s part, the Englishman seems to have enjoyed himself at the match.
