I heard it’s a virtue...

Bayern Munich has nailed down Eric Dier from Tottenham Hotspur as the Bavarians act on the temporary unavailability of several key defenders out on international duty. Other players like João Palhinha from Fulham or Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad are clamored for the board to sign by the fans, but that’s going to take some time. Before Dier came, Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel calls for patience on incoming transfers:

Tuchel on having to be patient regarding transfers: “Patience isn’t my greatest virtue. Every coach wants to have all their players from the first day, but that’ll never happen. I’m more patient than in the past. I know how complicated the transfer business has become. There are a lot of interests and it’s become very complex. Even though Eric is in the city, it’s not done yet. When he signs, we’ll be pleased. We’re always trying to make things happen - not just transfers but also other things. We have ambitious goals.”

Maybe the fans need to chill out a bit but with Bayern’s relatively pragmatic approach to the transfer window, they’re not doing themselves any favors.
