The versatile 29-year-old was brought to Bavaria by Thomas Tuchel to bolster the depth on the backline and should be able to help the squad weather the storm as Kim Min-jae and Noussair Mazraoui have left the team for international duty.
Bayern Munich announced the move via social media:
Dier will join the squad for its jaunt to Portugal for training camp next week. It remains to be seen if Tuchel will have any other new players to break into the team during the camp. The coach had wanted all winter business done by that point, but it seems like that could be a stretch.
