Harry Kane is one of the best strikers in the world, if not the best striker in the world. The Bayern Munich attacker has proved to be invaluable to Thomas Tuchel’s starting XI and is making waves abroad; his goalscoring exploits were noticed by Tottenham Hotspur and England teammate James Maddison.

“In my opinion he’s the best No. 9 in the world”, Maddison declared (Prime Video UK via @iMiaSanMia). “He is showing that now – his numbers are ridiculous. But I knew there was a chance he might leave. Me and Harry had chats in England camps. I think Harry would have been happy to stay as well. The feeling I got was that he was actually happy either way. I’m really happy for him to go to a top club.”

The former Leicester City player wished that the 30-year-old stayed in England and even hinted at him having another go at the Premier League all time goalscoring record. “Did I want him to stay? Of course I did”, the 27-year-old midfielder admitted. “He’s not over reliant on pace so I could see him playing for years and years and it wouldn’t surprise me if he had his eye on that goal scoring record in the Prem.”

In any case, Kane isn’t thinking about that at the moment.
