Report: Bayern Munich to move on from Fulham’s João Palhinha?

It’s not you, it’s me

Bayern Munich has maintained their interest in Fulham FC destroyer João Palhinha since his near-move four months ago. The Portuguese midfielder, despite extending his Fulham contract, still wants a move which reciprocates the Bavarians’ mindset. There were rumblings that Bayern will hold off on a January move, but Florian Plettenberg outright said that it won’t happen.

Plettenberg said the same thing a few days ago which basically said that Bayern are (once again) doubtful that Palhinha is better than Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, and Konrad Laimer and they also questioned his value for money. If the board does not want stability in Thomas Tuchel’s team and wants the players run into the ground (and at the same time concede more goals) then they’re asking for it by not signing a proper defensive midfielder.

The Bavarians are also focusing on a defender which can play multiple positions, which is good. However, they’re going down the cheap route again with some of the transfer targets being shortlisted.
