Before Harry Kane moved to Bayern Munich from Tottenham Hotspur, one of the most popular arguments against a move abroad for the England captain is the opportunity to break Alan Shearer’s Premier League all-time goalscoring record. As it stands, Kane’s 213 is some 47 goals short of Shearer’s 260 but that is not of priority for Bayern striker.
“No, it’s not on my mind right now”, Kane said flatly (FourFourTwo via @iMiaSanMia). “I take each year as it comes and make the best decisions for myself in football. My focus is just on trying to perform here, settling into German life and trying to score as many goals for Bayern Munich as I can.”
The 30-year-old can always go back to England and have a shot at toppling the Newcastle United striker’s position as top scorer. In the meantime, Kane is hot on Robert Lewandowski’s heels in an attempt to score the most goals in a single Bundesliga season.
