Bayer Leverkusen ace Florian Wirtz has been linked to Bayern Munich consistently for a few weeks now, but no one should expect the 20-year-old Germany international to make a transfer move next summer.

In fact, Hans-Joachim Wirtz, Florian’s father, told Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg that his son was fully focused on helping Bayer Leverkusen try and win the league in the 2024/25 season:

Hans-Joachim #Wirtz, father and agent of Florian Wirtz excl. at Sky:

„Currently, everything is geared towards Florian continuing to play in Leverkusen next season.“

As reported: Wirtz is likely to stay in Leverkusen next season. A transfer is definitely planned in 2025.

⚠️ FC Bayern wants him and Wirtz then prefers a transfer to Bayern!

These statements just days after the elder Wirtz left a little too much room for interpretation about how soon his son would like to leave Bayer Leverkusen with other quotes.

Wirtz is expected to command a nine-figure transfer fee once he does decide that he wants to move. By the time Wirtz will make himself available, Bayern Munich could be poised to make a big splash in the transfer market.

If Wirtz continues his current trajectory, would you want him at Bayern Munich?
