Fans will have to be patient to see their team back in action after the recent weather conditions.

Blow, blow, thou cold winter wind.

Munich was hit by a major winter storm over the weekend that dropped more than a foot of snow and disrupted travel — and canceled Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga match against Union Berlin.

Now temperatures are finally set to climb above freezing in the coming days, and training at Säbener Straße is set to resume. However, the weather disruptions will extend to an open training session originally scheduled for Tuesday, which will now be postponed to the weekend. As reported by @iMiaSanMia:

Bayern have decided to postpone tomorrow’s public training session for safety reasons related to the ongoing weather conditions in Munich. Tomorrow’s session will now take place behind closed doors and an open session to the fans will take place on Sunday instead

Via German outlet Bild, photos of the efforts to clear the training field of all that snow:

Bayern resume their schedule on Saturday with an away trip to play Eintracht Frankfurt. Then Harry Kane, Thomas Müller, & co. are back in Champions League action the following Tuesday at Manchester United. The next — and final — scheduled home game before the Winterpause is on Sunday, December 17th, vs. VfB Stuttgart.
