If there was one defining trait that drew Thomas Tuchel the head coaching job at Bayern Munich, it was the club’s insatiable desire to win...everything.

For Tuchel, that is exactly the kind of environment where he thinks he is at his best.

“I like that they always think about winning. They’re convinced that winning is Bayern’s right,” Tuchel told Canal+ (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).

When quizzed about losing in the DFB-Pokal, Tuchel admitted that it was a punch to the gut.

“Yes, we lost the cup. It’s horrible, for me personally and for my team. We haven’t won the cup for 4 years, it’s a catastrophe at such a club. But we’ll stay together, continue to work and find solutions,” the coached remarked.

While Bayern Munich was eliminated from the Pokal, Tuchel knows that there is still much work to be done if he wants to secure at least one trophy this season. However, both the Champions League and Bundesliga feature worthy opposition, who will ensure that any title captured during this campaign will be well-earned.
