Thomas Tuchel says Manuel Neuer can play for as long as he wants at Bayern Munich

It ain’t over until I say it’s over

Bayern Munich stalwart Manuel Neuer has proved that he is still the GOATkeeper at 37-years-old. When a footballer is aged 37, they would either be retired or pondering about hanging up their boots. For Manu, however, he can play to his heart’s content provided that he is fit and raring to go for every game. At least that’s what his coach Thomas Tuchel said.

There’s no limit for Manu. As long as he’s feeling good and playing this way, we don’t set any limits. It’s very impressive. The mix between his calmness and his professionalism is in perfect harmony. He can keep playing for as long as he wants.

Bayern are currently short of midfielders right now so maybe the long-standing joke of Manu playing in midfield would finally be fulfilled and please Pep Guardiola and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. Manu is needed more in goal so it’s unlikely that he will play in midfield.
