Bayern Munich bosses disappointed in Serge Gnabry

Time is running out.

Ever since Serge Gnabry lit up the world in the 2019/20 season for Bayern Munich, he has been wildly inconsistent blowing either hot or cold and picking up injuries. He has still not improved despite extending his contract last year, and it looks like time is running out for the former Arsenal FC winger:

Bayern bosses expect much more from Serge Gnabry. Gnabry’s last - and only - goal this season was over 8 weeks ago, and he could now drop to 4th choice winger, below Sané, Coman and even Mathys Tel in the pecking order. The 28-year-old had extended his contract last year with a big salary of more than €15m/year. Gnabry wants to do everything in the next few months to prove that the new contract wasn’t a mistake and to repay the trust that has been placed in him by the club. The player is aware of his difficult situation and wants to deliver - also with a view to next summer’s Euros in Germany.

If he won’t be played by Thomas Tuchel at Bayern, Gnabry’s best (last?) chance at proving himself again is at the 2024 Euros in Germany. Considering that Die Mannschaft are sputtering as well, the Stuttgart product has his work cut out for him.
