Konrad Laimer says he enjoys playing with Thomas Müller at Bayern Munich

Enjoy it while it lasts, I guess

Bayern Munich legend Thomas Müller has seen his game time drop drastically under Thomas Tuchel which has led to people speculating that an early exit is on the cards. When he does play, however, the Raumdeuter is what the English (Tom) calls a “good trainer.”

Ask Konrad Laimer.

“I’ve been playing with him since the summer and I enjoy every second I get to play with him,” Laimer said (as captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMia). “He brings so much quality and can give us a lot as a team. We all know what qualities he has. We saw in the past years that he’s one of the best players ever. You can always see that he’s still at the highest possible level.”

The Bayern bosses still want to give the 34-year-old a contract extension, but there’s no progress in that field thus far. Bayern is sticking to their “one-year-extension-after-30” rule, which is why Manuel Neuer and Sven Ulreich extended to 2025.
