Bavarian Fashion Works: Bayern Munich’s 2024/25 home kit screams “simple, yet insane”

I hope someone got that reference...

The kit leaks keep on coming and this time, Bayern Munich’s home shirt for the 2024/25 season is going to be entirely different to the one they’re wearing now. The mostly-white-with-a-mix-of-red home kit for this season is a rather divisive shirt among the fanbase; the commentator for the Bayern-Galatasaray game in the Champions League even confused the Bavarians for Arsenal FC.

What does the new kit look like? It’s beautiful in its simplicity:

It’s a simple red shirt of three different shades which can be likened to the home kits of 2015/16, 2019/20, and 2020/21. The design is yet to be finalized, but the color scheme is most likely going to be the above with standard white for the logos.

BFW Analysis

This is a huge upgrade from the current home shirts. Bayern fans weren’t happy when the club introduced blue shorts for the early version of the 2018/19 home kit which shows that it is hard trying to incorporate other colors for the Rekordmeister home kits, and the entire season kit range in general. The popular comparison is to that of the 2015/16 home kit: it might’ve had a simple design, but the execution was impeccable.
