Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel did not like how futile his team’s attack looked during its 0-0 draw with FC Copenhagen.

Tuchel understood that it was a difficult task to play against an opponent playing such a compact style, but would have liked to see more production. The coach admitted that moving some players around might have created confusion (as captured by @iMiaSanMia):

Thomas Tuchel: “We had a hard time getting pace into the game. That’s probably understandable. If it had to happen in one game, then it’s better today. Copenhagen defended extremely deep, then things looked the way they looked.”

Questioner: Thomas Müller said we had to take more risks..

Tuchel: “Yes, that’s probably right. It wasn’t fluid, not risky enough. Upa changed sides today, played left center-back and Rapha played from the start for the first time - automatisms weren’t perfectly there. We can do better. We’ll forget today and move on.”

While those are all legitimate points, fans would certainly hope that things would be a little more seamless when making personnel or positional changes at this stage. Clearly, the Bavarians still have some work to do.
