Bayern Munich was already through to the knockout stages of the Champions League, but that does not excuse dishing out a lifeless 0-0 draw with FC Copenhagen (at home, no less). The Bavarians had a handful of chances but were unable to convert, and a Manuel Neuer masterclass in the late stages got them a point. Thomas Müller was not happy with the result.
“We’re not satisfied,” Müller began (as captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMia). “As an attacking player, I’m particularly not satisfied that we left the game without a goal. We didn’t take enough risks. We had some good situations, but it’s not easy against such a deep block. Copenhagen defended well, but we weren’t willing to take enough risks. Yesterday in training things worked much better,”
As it stands, Copenhagen and Galatasaray are tied on five points while Manchester United sit at fourth with four and are at risk of getting eliminated from Europe altogether.
