Injured Bayern Munich stars Jamal Musiala and Matthijs de Ligt are both working hard to return to the pitch and now it appears that both players are getting just a bit closer to returning.

Musiala put in an intense individual training session this morning and received full attention from the club’s expert physio staff:

Jamal Musiala completes an individual unit, this time not only with Simon Martinello, but also under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Holger Broich. This is always a sign that a return to team training is imminent.

Support from the best buddy: Alphonso #Davies also briefly stops by @JamalMusiala.

In purely football terms, it was again the highest tempo and highest intensity (as always with Broich), and he was able to keep up with it without any problems. #FCBayern

Before the collective gasp starts here: Phonzy #Davies was just watching, he himself is NOT injured. #FCBayern

As for center-back Matthijs de Ligt, the Dutchman is back on the field. The 24-year-old put in an individual session at Säbener Straße:

Hello, @mdeligt_04!

Back on the pitch: Matthijs de Ligt completed an individual session at Säbener on Monday morning.

Individual unit on the pitch.

@mdeligt_04 is training for his comeback on Säbener Straße.

It appears that both players could be back soon, with Musiala being further along than De Ligt.

As for the rest of the squad, quite a few players were given a rest:
