Bayern Munich are still on the hunt for players to sign in the January transfer window. After landing Harry Kane (from Tottenham Hotspur), Kim Min-jae (Napoli), Konrad Laimer (RB Leipzig), and Raphaël Guerreiro (Borussia Dortmund), the Bavarians want MORE! They obviously need cash for that, and the club recently laid down how much they were allotting for transfers in the winter.
According to Sport Bild (as captured by Get German Football News), the Rekordmeister will set aside €50-75 million for players. It’s not a lot and it might just be enough for João Palhinha only, and that won’t be enough; Leon Goretzka, Joshua Kimmich, and Konrad Laimer are all incompatible with each other to varying degrees.
The Bavarians meanwhile need defensive reinforcements ready to go and play at the highest level; some of the youth players such as Frans Krätzig are not ready yet. What Thomas Tuchel is looking for is someone who can play both CB and RB, and that won’t be Arsenal FC defender Takehiro Tomiyasu after Mikel Arteta shut down rumors of his player going anywhere.
