Bavarian Fashion Works: Bayern Munich’s 2024/25 away kit set to feature a unique Bavarian design

Next season’s away kit is already looking better than this season’s black and purple number.

A Footy Headlines leak has revealed that Bayern Munich’s away kit for the 2024/25 season is going to be mainly black in color, and will include a design based on the Bavaria statue. While specific details about what exactly the accent color and design will end up looking like are still unknown, the graphic below shows a mockup of the design on a black shirt with an orange accent based on images of the statue at night.

This design choice continues the trend of traditional Bavarian imagery being featured on Bayern jerseys. Bayern’s stunning 2021 third kit had a graphic representing the Bavarian Alps and the third kit for the 2022/23 season that Jamal Musiala scored the title-securing goal in had a gorgeous diamond pattern comprised of card symbols from the Bavarian card game Schafkopf.

The success of Bayern’s specialty Oktoberfest kits in recent years is even more proof that Bayern fans enjoy traditional Bavarian themes and designs. In 2021 Bayern sold the most kits of any club worldwide, and it looks like Adidas is eager to keep Bayern shirt sales at the very top.

Is there an accent color you would like to see paired with the primary black of next season’s away kit? Be sure to let us know in the comments below!
