FC Köln’s Steffen Baumgart wary of Harry Kane, but confident for Bayern Munich tilt

FC Köln coach Steffen Baumgart knows his squad is facing a tall task against Bayern Munich.

“I expect my team to be brave. I expect that from them every week, no matter who we play against. We don’t need to talk about Bayern’s strengths. Confident to get something from the game? I’m always confident,” said Baumgart (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “We want to force Bayern to make mistakes. We want to avoid the mistakes we made against Leipzig and bring our strengths onto the pitch.”

In particular, Baumgart knows his squad has to find a way to slow down Bayern Munich scoring machine Harry Kane.

“He’s outstanding. I don’t know if anyone in the Bundesliga has ever had such a goal scoring rate. He can hurt you whenever he’s on the ball. He’s an absolute enrichment for the league - it’s good to see such a player in the Bundesliga, but unfortunately he’ll be on the opposing side,” Baumgart said.
