Bayern Munich defender Kim Min-jae says he feels the strain of playing so many games

Both his coaches have no choice, however

It’s no secret that Bayern Munich are short-handed in personnel, especially in midfield and defense. Kim Min-jae is one of the few Bayern players who played every single game so far this season and completed 90 minutes for South Korea against China. The 27-year-old defender says he will feel worn out from playing a lot but said that it wouldn’t be fair having to sit one out.

“I think my body will be tired from playing so many games”, Kim admitted (as captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMia). “But I can’t complain because it’s the same for everyone. It’d be foolish to say: ‘I can’t play, I’m dying’ - I’m just thankful I didn’t get injured, which shows I’m in good shape. I’ll take care of myself.”

Massive props to Kim for his willingness to play every game for the betterment of his team, but he can only do so much before he needs a breather.

Bayern’s first match back after the international break is a Bundesliga double header against Köln and Union Berlin, either side of a Copenhagen showdown in the Champions League.
