Bayern Munich defender Dayot Upamecano was in the midst of a terrific season as the team prepared for its Champions League tie against Manchester City.

Upamecano had a few disastrous mistakes in those matches and a lot of those good feelings about his work prior to that point had started to fade for some fans and observers.

Essentially, Upamecano picked a couple of bad days...to have a couple of days.

Now, though, Upamecano is able to look back and acknowledge that he made mistakes, but also have the drive and desire to push forward and build from those down moments.

“When I look back at last season, I think I had a very, very good season. It’s true there were these two games (against City) where unfortunately I didn’t do everything right. I’ve progressed and gained more experience from that. Now it’s in the past, I’m no longer interested in that and I’m looking ahead,” said Upamecano (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).

Upamecano’s mindset in being able to move on from those matches against City has been vital to his strong start to this season.
