Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk is leading a squad that could prove to be a sleeper in the Champions League.

Already with four points through two match days, the Turkish side has the opportunity to shake things up on Tuesday vs. Bayern Munich.

“It’s an important match in the Champions League. We have a tally of four points that we want to increase. We will use our home advantage and our supporters. If we win, it will be a great thing. We know the strength of the opponent. They have not lost in the group stage for many years. That can be a motivation for us too,” said Buruk (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “We have an experienced team. Our players played this kind of matches a lot. I hope it will be an unforgettable night. After Manchester United, we will have an unforgettable night against Bayern Munich.”

Buruk immediately knew the stakes would be high when he saw his team’s UCL group. Now, the reality is that Galatasaray could be poised to make some noise against the German giants.

“When the draw was made, Bayern Munich were the clear favourite. Every point to be gained is extra for them. However, every point will be important for us on the way to second place. We will go out on the pitch, play and do our best with our hearts and the support of the fans. You never know what will happen in football. We dream of beating Bayern Munich. We need to be on the pitch without fear. We will bring out our best, hopefully everything goes as we want,” said Buruk. “It’s an important match in the Champions League.
