David Alaba is having quite a season with Real Madrid. His dedication does not go unnoticed as he claims a spot in FIFA's dream team. But is this the right time to include the Austrian defender in the world's best XI? Or is it because now he is playing for Real?
Please take a look at some general stats from WhoScored about Alaba's career:
My personal opinion is that Alaba is an interesting player with a lot of experience on and off the pitch. He should win prizes like this down the line. As much as I understand, FIFPro XI is based on the whole career not just on one good season. While his appearing in FIFPro XI is still questionable, because there are so many other great defenders out there. But honestly, I could not imagine him making this dream team as a Bayern spieler.
Thanks for reading. I have two more questions for you, please, post a comment if you have some ideas to share:
- Do you think that David Alaba is among the three best defensive players today?
- Do you think Alaba would have won this prize (ever) as a Bayern player?
