Chelsea FC center-back — and rumored Bayern Munich transfer target — Antonio Rüdiger was proud of the way that Germany performed during this latest international break as it rolled through Liechtenstein, Armenia, and Iceland.

The 28-year-old defender played a key role as well as he hit home a dynamic header off of a perfect feed from Joshua Kimmich in the 4-0 victory. For Rüdiger, it seems like everything came together under new manager Hansi Flick.

“It was important that we got nine points from the three games — and that we didn’t concede a goal. It was a very good week and a half,” Rüdiger said (as captured by Tz). “He played a big part in it. It was a great ball, everything went well.”

It was not evident to fans and pundits that something was different with this Germany side. While skeptics will point out that the competition was not exactly top-notch, but there was certainly a different look and feel to Germany during this international break.
