According to Sport1 journalist Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann has requested that central midfielder Taylor Booth and attacking midfielder Malik Tillman practice “regularly” with the first team in the coming weeks.
Both youngsters performed admirably in the preseason and must be continuing that upward trend. Surely, a call from the first team boss will motivate the two players even more:
News #FCBayern/Campus: Due to Nagelsmann’s request Booth and Tillmann will train regularly with the 1st team now. Understand that the communication between Säbener Straße & Campus is very good actually. Nagelsmann is very interested in the youth teams. @SPORT1

This, of course, fits the narrative surrounding Nagelsmann that we have heard so much about: He loves developing young players.
Booth had a great summer in his appearances with the first team and appeared to make a strong case for himself, while Tillman also did well. With Corentin Tolisso almost definitely leaving the club and Marc Roca’s status uncertain due to his inability to break into the regular rotation, Booth could be poised to earn a roster spot at some point over the course of this season or next season.
As for Tillman, the attacker might have a bit steeper of a climb, but could benefit from his versatility — and eagerness to try different positions.
Regardless, this is excellent news for a campus that had been stuck in neutral for far too long.
