Chemistry between Julian Nagelsmann and Marcel Sabitzer played a key role in Bayern Munich move

Marcel Sabitzer was looking for a new challenge in his career and that just so happened to coincide with his old boss, Julian Nagelsmann, taking a new gig at Sabitzer’s dream club: Bayern Munich.

In the ensuing months, Nagelsmann “cleverly got the ball rolling” for a move according to Tz.

“At first it wasn’t an issue at all,” said Sabitzer’s father Herfried. “Several clubs were involved with Marcel. But when he heard of FC Bayern’s interest, it was clear to him where he was headed. Bavaria was his absolute number one!”

As for Nagelsmann, the relationship between player and coach was a hug factor in the deal getting done.

“The chemistry between Marcel and Julian Nagelsmann was right from day one. He was able to immediately implement what the coaches asked him to do, including the defensive tasks. That went quickly and speaks for Marcel’s game intelligence,” said Herfried Sabitzer.
