Bayern Munich was under heavy scrutiny for most of the summer from the German media and fans alike.
Transfer czar Fabrizio Romano, however, thinks that Bayern Munich’s haul was well worth the wait.
“Bayern did a great job on the transfer market in a difficult summer financially. Upamecano is one of the best center-backs in the world and knows the league, so for Bayern he was the perfect signing,” said Romano on Sport1 journalist Florian Plettneberg’s Meine Bayern Woche podcast (as captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMia).

Sabitzer should, indeed, be a dynamic and versatile signing for the Bavarians.
