Borussia Mönchengladbach Florian Neuhaus might have plans of making Germany’s World Cup squad and eventually moving to Bayern Munich, but those plans could be hitting some roadblocks thanks to Neuhaus’ inability to impress Adi Hütter.
According to Bild, Neuhaus is seeing his place in Gladbach’s lineup usurped by Denis Zakaria, Jonas Hofmann, and Manu Koné. With a lack of activity, Neuhaus will have limited opportunities to impress Germany coach Hansi Flick — and the Bayern Munich brass.
With Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, and Marcel Sabitzer already in tow, it would be hard to see how Neuhaus would fit into the mix at Bayern Munich at this stage or even in the near future. Adding another good central midfielder might not be atop the club’s wish list.
As for Germany, Neuhaus’ status should be a little more stable for now, but could eventually slip away should Flick start to consider other options to back-up Kimmich and Goretzka.
