Like any good midfielder, Bayern Munich’s Leon Goretzka is constantly checking his shoulder and surveying the landscape.

When it comes to what Goretzka has taken in about the competition in the Champions League this season, the Germany international thinks his squad can compete with any of the world powers, even if some of the clubs are coming from a more advantageous position.

“PSG have an incredible team full of stars. English teams suffered less from Corona, many clubs have top squads,” Goretzka told Bild (as captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMia). But that was the case in 2020. We managed to prevail and we should do it again. I don’t see any team that we can’t beat.”

The talent and depth on the Bayern Munich roster makes the Bavarians a very intriguing pick to walk away with Champions League hardware. The squad no weaknesses on the roster, Bayern Munich is also playing at an incredibly high level under Julian Nagelsmann.
