The chances that the Bavarians could pull together the kind of financial package that could pry Chiesa from Italy remain slim at this point, but Bayern Munich is not the only club trying to take advantage of the rumors that Juve coach Massimiliano Allegri is not keen on Italy’s Euro 2020 star.
Federico Chiesa (23) was one of THE guarantors of the Italian EM fairy tale. At Juventus Turin, on the other hand, he is not really happy yet. Juve is currently only in the middle of Serie A and would therefore miss the international ranks. No wonder that some clubs are already digging at the winger. As reported by Italian media, Chelsea and Liverpool in particular are very interested in Chiesa.
According to the report, Chelsea are even ready to make a 100 million euro bid for him. This fits: Chiesa is officially loaned to Juventus from Fiorentina until the end of the season. An anchored purchase obligation (40 million) should only take effect if Juve should make it into the top 4.
With Liverpool also in the mix — and Bayern Munich’s financial constraints — it could be a real longshot for the Bavarians to get involved in any sweepstakes for Chiesa.
