Sport Bild’s Christian Falk detailed some interesting information on his podcast regarding the rumors linking Bayern Munich and Antonio Rüdiger (as captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMia).
Falk stated that Rüdiger is open to moving to Bayern Munich and that the Germany international is not overly thrilled with Chelsea FC’s initial offer of €8.5 million per year.
Rüdiger allegedly wants more than €10 million per year, which Falk think is doable for the Bavarians. In the same line of thinking, there could be a lot more behind the delayed contract negotiations for Niklas Süle.
Per Falk, Süle could leave Bayern next summer. Currently, his negotiations are on hold, and both sides are “unconvinced” that a contract extension would work.
Süle has been excellent so far this season and would represent a great loss for the club.
For his part, Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan “Brazzo” Salihamidzic is reluctant to talk about Rüdiger at this stage.
“It’s not okay to talk about players from other clubs. Julian (Nagelsmann) praised him in the press conference yesterday, but we are very well staffed in central defense,” Salihamidzic said (as captured by Tz).
