Bayern Munich could have at least some roster turnover next summer and according to Fichajes, one name that is on the club’s list of potential imports is yet another RB Leipzig player: Christopher Nkunku.

The 23-year-old attacking midfielder has reportedly caught Bayern Munich’s eye:

Since his beginnings as a player in the youth academy of Paris Saint-Germain, Christopher Nkunku has been considered one of the great jewels of French soccer. The midfielder, not having the necessary opportunities to demonstrate his full potential at the Parc des Princes, headed to RB Leipzig in 2019, where he has become one of the best players in the Bundesliga in his position in the last two years.

This performance has by no means gone unnoticed by Paris Saint-Germain itself, which is looking for a midfielder with arrival ahead of next season, having thought about the services of a Paul Pogba who is increasingly close to renewing his contract with Manchester United. That would frustrate the plans of Mauricio Pochettino’s side, which would then set its sights on the 23-year-old French player, for whom other European giants such as Manchester City and Bayern Munich have also been interested.

BFW Analysis

Sure, there is the natural Julian Nagelsmann connection, but this does not seem like something the Bavarians would be interested in even after this season ends. With a plethora of players able to pay the attacking midfield role, it seems like this just be one of those rumors where someone is connecting dots that are not really there.
