In a report compiled by Sport1, Chelsea FC manager Thomas Tuchel indicated that he is toying around with the idea of playing Germany international and alleged Bayern Munich transfer target Timo Werner alongside Romelu Lukaku.
“He clearly showed us how dangerous he and Romelu can be together,” said Tuchel. “Timo was not satisfied with his performance in the first few games, there was also a bit of disappointment after the European Championships. What you don’t see is his performance in training. There he is much more relaxed, more fluid in his movements, with more self-confidence.”
Tuchel also thinks that Werner is on the right track and will be an asset to Chelsea moving forward.
“That’s why he came in early against Tottenham and there are clear signs that he is on the right track and that he can show that,” said Tuchel. “Timo was in a better position, he was able to cause danger around Romelu. He had an assist and moves smart, has the freedom and makes decisions with more self-confidence. Hopefully he can take this momentum with him.”
Werner, of course, has recently been linked to Bayern Munich.
I’ll tell you what Thomas Tuchel would do, man: two strikers at the same time, man.
